  • 1 Sales support for ABclonal in EMEA

    ABclonal is a Chinese-based company producing standard antibodies and recombinant proteins for many research areas: Cancer/ Cell Biology/ Epigenetics/ Metabolism/ Neuroscience/ Immunology. Actually they have released a new product: monkeypox virus recombinant protein A29 and L1R.

    Additionally they have developed a new platform application by Single-B Cell Technology to cover research fields including cancer, cell biology, epigenetics, immunology, metabolism, and neuroscience, and have received positive feedback from customers in Max-Planck-Gesellschaft, EPFL, and Genmab.

  • 2 Sales Support for Proteomics CRO

    ProteiQ is large scale proteomics CRO company based in Potsdam Germany close to the MPI where untargeted profiling via high-end mass spectrometry was launched in 2001. They do pre-clinical studies for big pharma or CROs, which do not have the applied technology inhouse.

  • 3 Market strategy for therapeutic oligo business

    I developed a go-to-market strategy for a new acquired business unit from Biotage. This former independent BU was focussing on diagnostic applications like NGS sample prep which binds many internal R&D and production resources. Besides this, the therapeutic oligo market grows dramatically with the COVID boost for mRNA therapeutica. That's why I was looking into therapeutic applications like siRNA, RNAi, ASO, LNA or aptamer applications in pharma and biotech, whereby I received a huge request in conventional technologies and new chemical modalities as a prefered supplier. If you are comparing the investment of competitors in new GMP production facilities like Bachem in Switzerland, then you realize the potential of the therapeutic oligo market.

  • My life science background is in metabolomics and proteomics to identify biomarkers in different biological matrices (Ph.D. at Max Planck Institute in Potsdam) using high-end analytical platforms (GC-TOF/MS & QTOF, QTRAP), worked as metabolomics platform manager (Postdoc), generated large data sets for clinical and biotechnology studies and educated students in analytical science to generate high-quality data.

  • Recently I worked for Tecan as Sales Development Specialist (EMEA) for MS sample prep in the mass spec, proteomics, and biopharma market as an automation specialist. In this role, I created sales and market strategies, and initiated cooperation projects to develop new applications; generating leads and projects over Europe using different sales channels (customer base, prospecting, online tools) and marketing activities (email campaigns, webinars). I was in charge of entering new market areas in life science, pharma, and clinical diagnostic. Additionally, I initiated the development of a new LC-MS-based IVD kit (multi-steroid LC-MS IVDR kit; IBL Hamburg), launched a bioprocessing strategy for pharma accounts to align our products in early development and downstream processing departments.

  • Current project with ADTBio (Biotage) developed the therapeutic RNA/ASO unit as a sales manager to discover and explore the emerging therapeutic oligo marketplace. I found new clients and projects in Big Pharma and Therapeutic Biotech and was able to provide a long-term strategy for the company to act in this field.
